Expert gives fishing masterclass

Whenever you are around the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal, it’s always worth keeping your eyes and ears open as you never know who you might meet.

This grey heron, was spotted fishing without a permit near the boat club at Govilon.

After a little bit of fish stalking, he popped into the canal to grab his lunch and then disappear up the canal, heading towards Gilwern, with a fairly substantial fish inside them.
