Before you go rushing off ordering your takeaway or home delivery, it is more important than ever to ensure that you check out the Food Standards Agency Hygiene ratings.
Deliveries in particular are an important area to find out about before ordering. Most businesses don’t normally deliver and are therefore not geared up to offer this service. Will your food be in the back of someone’s car or boot before it’s delivered? Will it be at a safe temperature when it reaches you and that containers are sealed?
Don’t forget to check on you special dietary requirements at the time of ordering too and make sure that allergen information has been provided to you.
Before you order just double check that the standard is as good as you’d expect with the Food Standards Agency. It takes a few moments but should give you an indication of how the food outlet operate on a normal basis.
