100 years of the Royal British Legion

100 years of the Royal British Legion

2021 marks the centenary of the Royal British Legion. For 100 years the Royal British Legion has been helping serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.

The British Legion was formed on 15 May 1921, bringing together four national organisations of ex-Servicemen that had established themselves after the First World War; The National Association of Discharged Sailors and Soldiers,
The British National Federation of Discharged and Demobilized Sailors and Soldiers, The Comrades of The Great War and The Officers’ Association.

Every year a network of supporters and volunteers tirelessly raise vital funds to support the Armed Forces community, whether by selling poppies, fund raisers or via selling products on the Royal British Legion Website.

All the profits from the Poppy Shop go to the Royal British Legion.  This means that when you shop with them, you are helping the Royal British Legion to provide lifelong support to thousands of serving men and women, veterans, and their families.

Silver and Gold plated pins for Captain Sir Tom Moore

The Royal British Legion Website shop sells a multitude of products including brooches, jewellery, food and drink and with all the profits going directly to the people who need it the most. This year to celebrate the life of Captain Sir Tom Moore and his service to the country, a new commemorative poppy has been created. Available in both silver and gold, the new poppy pays tribute to the Army Veteran. Captain Tom Gold Plated Pin
